Prieska is currently working as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of IT both at a global level and local level. She worked as an Associate Director at Deloitte responsible for government Clients. Within her tenure she worked as a Project and Programme Manager for projects within government clients and had a dual role as Delivery Excellence lead in Project and Programme Management for one of the offering portfolios within Deloitte. She worked at ThoughtWorks South Africa, a software development and consulting company, where she worked as a Senior Project Manager.
She was the CIO of Aspire group before she left the group in March 2014. Prieska joined Aspire in 2013 and she was later promoted to the position of CIO after she has proven herself and her responsibilities already included duties of a CIO. After joining the company, she was instrumental in formulating their IT Strategy, architecture and planning for moving the business forward and the management of all aspects of all projects relating to product, process and systems development. She also liaises with the group CIO regularly on infrastructure and maintenance requirements.
Prior to that, she was employed at Accenture in the Systems Integration and Technology growth platform. The main focus of the growth platform was Business Consulting and Technology, Systems Integration, Project and Application management. Prieska has a BSc (Honours) degree in Computer Science from the University of Pretoria.
