Sally Mmowa was born in 1979, and raised in the alive with possibility lively township in Alexandra. She attended and completed her matric at the National School of the Arts (NSA).
She has diplomas and certificates in Travel and Tourism, Project Management, Labour Law Acts, Marketing, International Leadership Certificate, Coaching, and Basic IT.
Sally was born with an entrepreneurial mind-set, proof of success in both entrepreneurial as well as corporate marketing leadership roles, requiring her influence and unique contribution in conceptualising, planning, managing, and monitoring all aspects of key marketing and management disciplines, outcomes, and techniques.
Passionate about developing and managing strong brands that enhance long-term value for shareholders and retain customer loyalty, Sally is well versed in brand creation, print/ web collateral development, media relations, events, channel partner cultivation, customer, business-to-business marketing, agents’ management, digital, mobile and social media.
She has worked in various capacities for companies like Dimension Data, Virgin Mobile SA, MTN SP, Kael Worldwide Media, ATIO Corporation EMM Call Centre (Government), Top TV/Ichoice and Insurance companies and educational institute.
In 2008, Sally was involved in organizing the South African concerts for Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, and the Late Peabo Bryanson for Sponono Entertainment as an artist consultant with her international associations and partners.
In 2011, Sally was involved in organizing the South-African concerts of Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour and Dianne Reeves for Sponono Entertainment, as well as Bebe Winans supported by the Jaziel brothers for Massive Live Events
In 2013 Sally was involved in organising a production of the 3 gospel giants’ concerts (Solly Mahlangu, Hlengiwe Mhlaba and the late S’fiso Ncwane and Sicelo Moya) and also the 1-night show with (Micasa, The muffins, the soil and Zahara) with Massive live events.
Sally managed South-African artists such as Bheki Nene (from internationally known Grammy winners Soweto Gospel Choir) who now manages choirs and take them overseas. She has worked with many well-known SA producers and DJs ( ie.DJ Cuebur) and artists.
She organized two successful annual spring affair events in 2011 and 2012 held in New Town, as well as the Spa Affair and Lunch affair through Good Chuckle Originals, She co -created events such as Spring affair, urban street fashion affair and many more.

She also had a company called Vanilla Skys and has worked closes with corporate businesses and government, international artists and also had offices in New York, Vegas and LA. Sally and her international team were also involved in bidding for bring more international artists to hosts concerts in SA.
Sally also has a company called X SallyMmowa Legacy which is a fashion business that handles all kinds of fashion in all spheres. She also creates Fashion Events and she is a designer, stylist, also scouts for fashion models and conceptualising of shooting music videos for African artists’ clients and TV shows through her company X SallyMmowa Legacy. She is also involved in clothing manufacturing and she is also a FashionTV producer who started creating bankable relevant TV Shows.
Sally also sat on the board of Qabso cooperative which creates jobs for the youth and are involved in business development and creating bankable projects with the government. She advised the board and organisation on strategies to grow and become more relevant to the communities and stakeholders.
Sally was also a co-founder of an NPO called Ten influential gentlemen (to name a few Gentlemen: DJ Gino Brown, Cuebur, George Gladwin Matsheke- owner of Marvin) where this organisation is a platform correct behaviour and empower the boys and youth with education, social-economics factors and entrepreneur skills where she worked with brands such as American Piercing system, Evolve, The Pyramid Spa, Flaunte Communication.
She is also a co-founder of the company called MoAfrika Borwa Legacy which specialises in Construction, Property development, Interior decoration, Architecture, ICT and Business consulting.
Sally also founded NPC named Iconic Hands Foundation- which uplifts and empowers the marginalised society especially in rural communities by creating opportunities through arts, culture, fashion, financial investment, education and technology invention, entrepreneurial projects and campaigns.
From November 2016 to February 2017, Sally Project managed an art project where homes in Alexandra were turned into art galleries and legend music galleries. She ran the project from construction to Production and PR for both the media launch and the opening day.
Sally is also in partnership with FlauntE Communications Firm to deliver PR, Marketing, Events managements, Reputation management, and content management to clients.
Sally continues to excel in more projects with partners from other brands to positively impact our economy, society and curb our unemployment rate. She continues to mentors and guide the entrepreneurial youth.
